Munnar One of the most popular hill stations in India, Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located at 1600 Mts above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India and today, despite being essentially a tea town, due to its sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes and wonderful scenic trekking it continues to be a popular destination. In addition to the miles and miles of unending tea plantations there are many exotic flowers found in the forests and grasslands including the Neelakurinji a flower which bathes the hills in blue colour only once every twelve years. The Neelakurinji, will bloom next in 2018 AD. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India - Anamudi - which towers over 2695 Mts and is an ideal spot for the more adventurous trekkers who wish to camp overnight.

Pothamedu Tea Plantation - Munnar Pothamedu
One of the major plantation hubs of Munnar, Pothamedu is situated at a distance of 6 km from the town. Gardens of coffee, tee, and cardamom plantations create a mesmerizing view from this place.. It is an ideal place for trekking and hiking amidst lush mountains, rolling hills, and breathtaking landscapes.
Devikulam - MunnarDevikulam
Devikulam is once in a lifetime experience among exotic flora and fauna, cool mountain air, and velvet lawns. It is 7 km from Munnar. The Sita Devi Lake situated here is an ideal picnic spot with its picturesque surroundings, mineral water, and trout-fishing facilities.
Pallivasal - Munnar Pallivasal
Pallivasal, surrounded by immense scenic beauty is situated 8 km from Munnar. It has the distinction of being home to the first hydropower project in Kerala.
Attukal Watefal - Munnar Attukal
An ideal place for long trekking, Attukal is situated between Munnar and Pallivasal. The place is famous for its panoramic waterfalls and rolling hills.
Nyayamakad - Munnar Nyayamakad
Nyayamakad is at a distance of 10 km from Munnar near Rajamala. Nyayamakad is a land of scintillating waterfalls with water falling down from a height of 1,600 metres.
Rajmala - Munnar Rajamala
A precious but little-known place situated at a distance of 15 km from Munnar, Rajamala is home to almost half the population of Nilgiri tahrs (a rare mountain goat).
Pazhamudhirsolai - Madurai Chithipuram
This small hill station situated at a distance of 10 km from Munnar, Chithirapuram is home to Pallivasal hydel power project.
Echo Point - Munnar Echo Point
As its name suggests, the place has a natural echo phenomenon. It is situated at a distance of 15 km from Munnar on the way to Top Station.
